Kulak has value - it is an interesting question to discuss what Byron is worth.... if anything. Idk - i think he might fetch a pick - or you retain 1M and get a mid rounder.

The idea is to get rid of Byron's contract without retaining salary, hence the reason of adding Kulak. I think Ottawa would like the deal. By adding Killorn and Paquette you shore up the bottom 6 with solid NHL veterans just in case one of the other 3 young centers falters or gets injured.

The issue is Ottawa could get better players and be paid picks to take them. Tyler Johnson and Alex Killorn to Ottawa along with a first or 2 to take that cap... It just doesn't make a lot sense for the sens' roster... Giving up cap this year is expensive
