REALLY hope they submit an OS for Sergachev. I used to think they should go after Cirelli, now I'd rather Sergachev. We need LD (Miller is still probably at least a half a season away and Lindgren is probably going to end up a 3rd pair D in the long run).

Yeah I agree. I just think we are pretty weak at C in our system and have so many defensive prospects. Wouldn't Cirelli be better?

Oh I totally agree, I just don't know if Cirelli is a legit top 6 C. He scored 40 points this past season on a veteran team, I'm not totally sold on committing to him long term and at a high price (which is the only way Tampa lets him go). With defense, I agree we have many prospects, but I see Miller as the only legit left handed top 4 prospect/young player. Lindgren is good, I just don't know if I'd trust him to be a key piece going forward (more of a support guy). I just see him as another Stepan - a guy playing above his skill level because we had no other options.

I agree but I worry he'll be the next Stepan.

Hes already earned his paycheck most likely, so he wont get an overdue loyalty deal, but in terms of his play I expect him to be steady

Agreed, it would also make Stome expendable. Flip him for a 2nd so we at least have something in the top 60 at the draft. Miller, Nils will be ready soon enough... defense is gonna suck this year regardless, God help me if I have to watch Johnson all season.....

Yeah and Sergachev will want far more then $6.5m per to sign an offer sheet with the Rangers, Just the tax cost alone going from Tampa to New York is astronomical.

Do you think he'll get more from Tampa? I think this is his best bet to be honest. Yeah I know the taxes are different from a no-income-tax state to one with 3 major taxes.

Quinn has to be canned if so.
