He's not available for trade but maybe like Trouba and Georgiev would get the job done? Idk it's hard like this guy was traded for Mark freaking Stone a year ago but he's also not established in the NHL yet so no one really knows what he will be.

Trouba and Georgiev? I'd do that. Melnyk wouldn't tho. That's a $10M+ add to payroll.

I don't see a deal for Brannstrom ever really making sense for both sides. If it's a prospect for prospect swap, I think Ottawa is pretty much always losing, because I don't think any team is giving up a Brannstrom level prospect to get a different prospect. Prospect swaps usually only happen with struggling prospects, and I would still classify Brannstrom as a blue chip D prospect.

As far as trading Brannstrom for NHL players, the only NHL players it would make sense to part ways with Brannstrom for, are players who would cost way more than just Erik Brannstrom.

Had a down year but I think with the right linemates he’s a good player. Probably 2nd line potential but more of a 3rd liner right now

    Oh you

You're right. Brannstrom is too valuable. Anisimov and a 7th for zibanejad... But add a 2nd in too because he's great in the playoffs

You want Shesterkin as well? How about if I threw in Kakko? That 7th could be Wayne Gretzky. Never know!

I was hoping not to get a realistic answer like this one. But you sir, are indeed correct. Circle back next year if he doesn't break through?
