Where's Lafrienere? WJC starts on boxing day and there is no date for the NHL, but I doubt it's before that. He should be on the team for sure

Is there a reason you don’t have Lafreniere?

Lafreniere said he isn't playing. Not on the Camp roster which got released today.

Goaltending-wise, I'm concerned that taking 3 goalies who haven't played competitively in 8-10 months is a bad choice. Who knows though.

Edit: Apparently Laffy isn't going.

Just didn't know who to bump out to put him in. Great player but this team is full of great players.

Don't think they have much of a choice with the goalies unfortunately...

Very weird to me, but that's why I'm not picking the team tears of joy

So I read up on the issue. Yes he was invited to camp but Gorton said no. If the season is pushed back further he will be there.

Based on the talent this year I would be shocked if Shane Wright made it, as good as he is.

Might be a bit of an unpopular take, but Wright absolutely will get cut in favour of an older player with similar or better production: he's gonna have a lot of opportunities to play in this tournament over the next couple seasons, but an older guy isn't.

McMichael is the #3C, Holloway probably gets the #4C role given that he was used in all situations for Wisconsin. I think Bourque makes it over Foerster. Tyson's a very one-dimensional player; Quinn already fills that role.

EDIT: I don't think Power makes it either. Robertson or Gulhe get his spot.

Beckman? O'Rourke?

Beckman should be on there if nothing else. He was the WHL's leading scorer this past year for crying out loud.

As a Rangers fan, excited to see two of our guys up there. Can’t wait to watch Schneider.

O'Rourke is great as are all these guys. Again I don't know who to bump out for him.
Beckman could absolutely make this team. He really exploded last year. I was trying to pick positionally/role after I put in the guys I think are locks to make it and overlooked him.

I agree Wright could get cut but they will take the best players for what they want. They won't care about age and having "a chance to play in the future". If anything it's a guaranteed returning player for them for the next two seasons to include Wright and that benefits him at least to the healthy scratch slot.

I agree with your adjustments taking out Wright though.

I disagree on Power. I think he is something special and his solidity on the back end lets Drysdale open up his game and really create offense. Plus size and smart physicality is always a Canadian way to win.

Poulin?

For me Poulin's size and two-way play without being offensively irrelevant by a long shot makes him a must for this team's bottom 6. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him, Holloway and Greig make up the 4th line.
