Romanov is a unproven offensive D... and we need a PP specialist= Vatanen 1 year deal.
Byron would be harder to move and would cost asset pick or prospect to move him out... we I like is speed.
Armia would be sign as we have no room for him anymore.. lets get a 2nd for him
Getting Rakell at that cost less than 4M a year... would be a great cheap 60pts guy in Tatar replacement in one year... and having 3 proven TOP LW is simply great!
I don't have a problem with Rackell, just the steep price. I don't see him as a 60-pointer, more like a 45-point guy, but still an excellent middle-6 player.
The Habs were bullied last year and adding Anderson, while a great help, is not enough. And, if he goes down, the Habs have zero size on the wings. Keep Armia. Trust me on that one.
Habs have tons of speed. I like Byron's speed too, but they don't need it as much as they need muscle/meanness. I think you won't have a problem finding a home for Byron, but you won't get anything much in return. That's not the worst outcome, but I'd rather see him go than Armia.
You're right about Romanov, but he's not going to be given protected minutes unless the Habs scouts have grossly oversold his impact potential. He will line up next to Weber. Chiarot and Petry will reunite for another season. And Edmundson will be LD3 and Juulsen, Kulak and Mete will fight it out for the remaining two roster spots.
