wouldn't it be just the perfect ending if the guy that got drafted like one pick later became a superstar NHLer and the coyotes were left with nothing from that pick?

Tbh with today's cancel culture I'll be surprised if any team ever signs that guy. The amount of sh*t that team will get would be way too much.

I mean I agree about cancel culture to an extent, but he also hasn't apologized to the kid he abused. He apologized to the NHL and NHL teams ahead of the draft to cover his own a**, but not to the kid abused. So in this case he indisputably would deserve it

The guy's a total douche but I'm more annoyed about how ARI dealt with this. Drafting the guy was already bad enough, so renouncing his rights after public outcry is just a pathetic attempt of saving their asses. They made a mistake once and they have nothing to win from making another one.

Not really. If they dissociated from Miller for a petty reason or because of some dumb, irrelevant factor it would absolutely be hilarious. Unfortunately, the dude is a massive steaming pile of ****, so he definitely deserves what he's gotten and more. Arizona shouldn't have drafted him in the first place, and I doubt he will ever be drafted in the future.

Oh I agree he's a douche, and that AZ shouldn't have drafted him. That's my point - it would be karma for the Coyotes for drafting him if the next guy was a superstar

Oh yeah I agree. Sorry I read what you said in your original post wrong, that scenario would definitely be funny.

I’m just glad they renounced the pick even if the situation was handled stupidly (IE; actually drafting him and than defending)

But yes I’m all for relocating lmfao - Houston is a great place I think for the NHL to look to - and low key I’d be down to run Atlanta again

Houston, Kansas City, Quebec... I wouldn't go back to Atlanta though.

I like Houston the most of the list - Quebec is intriguing but the whole money thing is a problem (CAD vs USD) - I just would like to see Atlanta run fairly and by passionate people (I could be completely mixing up other folded franchises but if my thoughts are correct wasnt Atlanta handled poorly?)

Whole franchise is a joke, everyone who goes there slacks off and does bad (like come on, Kessel+Hall shoulda been murderous and it cost them half their prospect pool for two guys that underperformed), they lost their GM, a 1st, and a 2nd for cheating, and now their earliest pick this year, a 4th rounder, turns out to be a racist douche. Nothing’s going right there and there is really no light at the end of the tunnel to look forward to in terms of the future outlook (Soderstrom+Hayton are good, but their prospect pool outside of that is super shallow and they don’t have a 1st next year). I feel bad for the players that are actually trying to succeed there and have just had their careers stymied (OEL, Keller, etc.). I really hope they do relocate to Houston or Quebec and get some stable management, the whole Arizona is a joke thing is getting old, idk how much longer Bettman is willing to put up with the constant failures.

Officially starting the Juho Markkanen watch. Kid of a former Oiler in Jussi who did his best to try and eek out a cup when Roloson went down. Would be great to see his son do well.

Drafting and releasing Mitchell Miller, losing draft picks for breaking league policy, having the General Manager abandon the team, going all in on Taylor Hall and failing to retain him only to see him sign in BUFFALO, consistently in the bottom 5 in league attendance. Relocate this garbage franchise. Why does the league continue to protect them?
