Islanders can't even afford Killorn, And fat chance of Brisebois trading Sergachev if he deals both Killorn and Johnson. Tampa has nearly $3 million in cap space dealing both Killorn and Johnson gives them $9.5 mil so close to $12.5 mil in cap space way more then enough to bridge Cernak, Cirelli and Sergachev. Plus Coburn and Paquette can be moved for mere pennies.
It's this piece that is devoid of reality.
"Plus Coburn and Paquette can be moved for mere pennies."
who is going to take them?
Paquette is a 4th liner and a dime a dozen. No team needs to trade for a 1.6 million 4th liner.
Coburn is gonna be 36 years old. I don't see many takers there. If anything they don't help, and take one of tb young defense.
The other obvious problem here is, TB is still not the only team looking to dump cap. No one else is fairing any better with better offers.

Here’s my take on this: that’s a bad deal for Tampa.
Tampa should do something like this : (1 move that solves all their issues)
Cirelli or Sergachev + Johnson for an NHL ready top6/top4 ELC guy and a 2nd round pick.
No one is going to take that deal.
First you are taking on like 10 million salary. Who has that? Like maybe 5 teams right now?
Most of them, if not all, are rebuilding so they aren't going to give up a young player.
