I started the Houston one haha. A team in Quebec would be nice. It would be 4 west coast teams and 4 east coast in Canada. Montreal vs Quebec and Ottawa vs Toronto would be the main rivalries

We're a lot better this year but I don't think we can beat out this division with our D and G. We'll see tho. We're not done.

Oh the Rangers? HECKKKK no. This defense is absolute trash. We'll score but we don't have a left side. It's all about the lottery but in 2022? look out.

Because for some reason Bettman hates Quebec and loves his small market desert teams. I get it from a statistical standpoint of there's more people in American cities/areas than in Canadian cities, but like just because it's a good sports market doesn't mean they'll watch hockey when there are 4+ other options, he should just expand in Canada a bit more smh. Plus there's some guy in Houston with a lot of money that wants to own more Houston sports teams lol. If he's willing to potentially lose a few million bucks a year to make it happen though, what the hell, might as well put a team there as long as it has a long-term commitment to stable ownership despite potential losses.

So Arizona signs UFA Vatanen....and then Pittsburg sends a second rounder for Vatanen. Pens would much better off just signing Vatanen if they had the cap.
Leafs aren't giving up that much just for one additional year of an NHL goalie.

Quebec is to small to maintain a team. The whole metro area is only 800,000 peoplle.

Not that Houston is a good choice. It isn't.

I'm kind of surprised they haven't tried to put a team in either London, or Mexico City.
If they want to grow the game that's how you do it.
Mexico City would generate huge tv revenue. With almost 9 million people I don't think they would have issues selling tickets.

Mexico City? I don't know. Doesn't everyone in London just root for the Leafs?

If by the leafs you mean ManUnited then sure, sure, lets go with that.

Honestly London would be a great market for them to go to. It's not like they aren't use to games with a ball of some sort, a net, and a low score.

I thought you meant London, Ontario. Whoops. I would love a team across the pond but wouldn't that be an aerial nightmare?

I'm sure it is, but whatever. That's why I also suggested Mexico city. Which flight time wise wouldn't really be bad at all. And it's almost 9 million people. It's larger than NYC.
The TV revenues would be insane. From football to hockey is not a huge transition and they love their football.

Im saying they sign him then trade him at the deadline, a pretty common occurrence in the NHL. And it depends if the leafs want to upgrade any other part of their team because they are Cap strapped and could probably resign Kuemper after this year and get him similar to Freddy on the deal AAV and he is also younger while getting him at 4.5 this year.
