Canes still pass as the management team already gave the hard no on Necas being involved.

They'd have to rethink that knowing they could have Laine and Aho together again. THat's an elite 2/3 of a top line
Necas is good and trending upwards, but I think the canes look long and hard at this deal. Maybe adding Roslovic to the jets side and a 2-3 round pick on the canes side

I think the Canes would rather overpay to move Dzingel or other to clear space to sign Hoffman rather than trade away Necas and Pesce

I don't see Chevy being tempted by this now. A year or two down the line, depending how things go, maybe, but not now.

Not sure about that. Necas has top 6 C potential and Pesce is a top 4 dman on a good contract. If Laine wants out, this package is pretty darn good

Yeah maybe, but they are deep at F and D and this is a big move. Hoffman isnt as good as Laine offensively and is just as bad defensively and he's also 30 years old.

Meh. Necas has only played wing so far and from what Canes fans have said, he hasn't looked good at center so far. Before the draft it might have been closer, but with Perfetti now center isn't as big a need.

As I said, 2 years from now, it might get Chevy's attention. Right now, it's very unlikely.

Funny that you dismiss Necas's ability to play C, but are fine with Perfetti. Im just saying that if Laine demands a trade (which he basically has) this package is pretty damn good

I'm not dismissing Necas' ability, I'm going by what fans that watch him play all the time say. I'm just saying that if the Jets decide to trade Laine, since he has not demanded a trade, I would just bide my time and wait for a better offer, which is what Chevy will do.

As I said if this is all that is out there two years from now and we want to trade Laine, fine. But if somebody wants to buy those two years now with the Jets having no incentive to trade Laine. Then they will need to pay Chevy's price to make it worth Chevy's while to do so.

Who knows it might work out as you say, but Chevy's history says that he won't be pressured into taking a sub-par offer when he has other options.

Necas is and will be a much better pro than Laine. Honestly I think it’s highway robbery of us to ask for Necas and Pesce. Any jets fan would know laine’s pretty **** lol
