I think the only way the Oil let him walk is if he asks for more than 8 mil per. Talks have reportedly already begun to resign him so I have a hard time seeing NYR getting him at that low a number without him being signed in Edmonton already for it.

Noway i see Nugent-Hopkins signing for 7 x 7 Reportedly out of Edmonton he's seeking closer to $8 million per and Holland is already in negotiations on a long term deal with him.

Lundqvist and Schindler won’t be nhl ready next season. Atc maybe Lundqvist But it’s a small chance he would make the lineup. He signed 4 two years, I can see use trading his rights away or him at the deadline in 22 but defiantly not in 21

It’s the 2021 offseason. Not the 2021-2022 off season. As u stated in the title “next offseason” not in season moves

I would think Danault is more likely to go to market considering Montreal's situation. If KK takes another step and Suzuki solidifies the 1C then it just makes sense cap wise for Montreal to spend elsewhere for team balance. And Danault may want to ensure he is an actual 2C somewhere if that happens.

buddy, saying off season is not in season moves. We are not moving deangelo until we can rely on a guy like Lundqvist or Schindler. If we were truly looking to move him the contract would be atleast 3-5 years bc they would want to deal him with 2 plus years left on his contract.

At the end of the day I think Danult will be moved next season as a rental at the deadline and when his contract is up the team who gets him will push to resign him for 4.75-6 mil. It would take atleast a first and a second/ third to get him

The Strome trade works. The rest really doesn't.
