Wait one more year and you can sign binnington in free agency, then youd have koskinen and him that would be good goaltending.

Is this really any fun for you if you don't even consider the other team involved?

I wouldn’t give up anything for binnington. He was terrible this year and won’t be getting any better. Koskinen was much better, why would you want to dump him? He has put up starter numbers. Obviously he needs to start a few more games but in the games he’s played he’s been great

Such a homer comment. You say Binner won't be getting any better. He's younger and played fewer NHL games than Koskinen. You say Koskinen was much better. Binnington had a higher 5v5 SV%, SV% vs expected, GSAA, and GSAx than Koskinen. Even if you extrapolated Koskinen's counting stats (GSAA and GSAx) - since he only played 38 GP vs Binnington's 50 - they wouldn't be better than Binner's.

Maybe you're basing it off of a lousy bubble performance, but Koskinen didn't even get his team into the playoffs.

If you don't want EDM to trade for Binnington that's fine, but he's been better than Koskinen and will probably continue to be better.

that blues trade is actually bad for both teams. very impressive.

blues lose a ton of value losing binnington after a regress-to-the-mean season and a bad bubble performance, especially since there's only one season on his contract. on top of that, the return is a single third-line forward that will be exposed in expansion, a #4 RD on their depth chart, an absolute nothing prospect, and two nothing picks. leaves STL with no backup plan in net.

edmonton loses honestly one of the only good things going for them in their bottom six in khaira for one season of a goalie that won a cup behind the single best defense in the national hockey league, who's also coming off a pretty tough sophomore slump.

It's great to see sober pushback to the binnington enthusiasm as he's overrated but this goes too far I mean JB is .917 career Koskinen .909 so like 😐

I honestly hope he gets better and can stay in the NHL- but he just seems like a one year wonder to me. Will be at a backup level next year
