Why not just offer sheet him? Give up a 1st and 3rd. Keep Owen

This whole "offer sheet against the code" thing is so dumb, teams need to grow a pair.

Hard to imagine Florida using all of their cap space this year.

I assume there will be several teams in on Cirelli. May need to be a trade, Rather than an OS to get him.

Seems like an overpay -- you could just threaten an offersheet and then say "or I'll give you a 2nd along with the 1st + 3rd" and you wouldn't need to get rid of Tippett.

Though, I'm not sure Serg or Cirelli would actually sign an offer sheet though unless it's big. I just think they really like playing in Tampa.

Ya I don't see many of t he teams who have cap space left, actually using it this year. Which will cause a lot of problems for a team like Tampa (and maybe NYI). Now a team like Detroit and Ottawa can use that to their advantage if they actually do use their cap space. Time will tell what will happen.

I'd think Ottawa falls into the don't spend category too. Detroit will be a popular dumping ground until they have half of the first round picks in 2021.

yeah they don't like playing in Tampa that much.
When TB offers them 3 million and FL offers them 5, the conversation is over.

I’d offer sheet him and if they match then offer sheet Sergachev. Won’t be able to keep at least one of Cirelli Sergachev and Cernak and possibly 2 unless they pay a hefty price to move their high price players that have NMC’s.

Florida probably wants a goal scoring center than a defensive minded one esp with Barkov on the team who does both
