Description

Couple of notes:
1: I'm sorry if I get these wrong. I'm running on 2 hours of sleep today and I almost thought a piece of lead was a Jolly Rancher. I'm not functioning today.
2. ARI's was a toss-up between Kuemper and Chychrun, but in the end, I went with Chychurn.
3. BUF's was a toss-up between Olofsson and Ullmark, but since Olofsson was on pace for over 60 points, I went with him.
4. COL's was a toss-up between Burakovsky and Kadri for some reason.
5. MIN was a toss-up between Brodin and Dumba.
6. TBL was a toss-up between Coleman and Maroon.

I mean most of these guys have fair ratings imo though. Like Carlo is seen as a top 4 guy, which he is. Coburn is seen as a 6th/7th defenceman, which he is. Dumba is actually overrated imo, he did not have a very good year. Werenski is seen as a top 10 defenceman in the league, which he is.

I mean really the only underrated players I see on this list are Hyman, Pionk, Zibanajed, Vrana, and Brown. Otherwise I think their ratings are very fair

Werenski: I know lots of Blue Jackets fans who don't even know who he is. It's kinda sad. Dumba did have a bad year, but so did his team. Also, how do you not see Slavin as underrated?

Olofsson is not underrated, but Sam Reinhart sure is.

I'd make a case for McAvoy. I don't think people understand how good he really is and how much he's had to carry Chara. He also has been one of the top 20 producing d-men at 5v5 since entering the league. Unfortunately because of Krug was here he didn't get the PP time needed to rack up more points, thus being overlooked by many because he didn't put up points like other d-men.

No worries about the sleep we've all been there 👍

It's always the young small analytical 👑 guys that deserve it honestly: Fiala, Bjorkstrand, Garland, etc.

Girard deserves it due to his crazy good penalty +/-

Then yeah the goalies who are excellent but don't have the 'desired qualities of typical starters' (Saros)

Kinda predictable but the patterns are there at least

I wouldn’t say he’s overrated, but he’s not underrated, he’s one of those when healthy amazing guys but he gets injured a lot,
If I had to pick an underrated guy on the sharks Marcus Sorenson Or Mario Ferraro come to mind.
