I don't really get how the Oilers are winners they didn't fix their goaltending which was their biggest problem

I'm not sure how the penguins "won"
I mean they gave Jack Johnson to the rangers, which I guess is a win, but then they signed Ceci. And the 3rd line is still atrocious.

Well they got Lafrenière, so that makes up for their other decisions.

Carolina lost more than they added that is why they are deemed losers.

Being a Penguins fan and seeing Lafreniere play for Rimouski, I say big win for Rangers for adding him.

True, they were a borderline winner. Only because they helped their defence imo with Barrie signing.

The Penguins always WIN! You should know that by now.

Yeah Turris will be good for Oilers. Hurricanes lost Vatanen and hometown boy Joel Edmundson. They added only Jesper Fast. I say they lose as both dman are top 4 and Fast is a Top 9 (borderline top 6)

That was pure luck. They didn't do anything themselves to improve the team in all of their moves.

Losing edmundson is a + and vatanen was a deadline acquisition anway

A large component of “winning” in anything is luck. I’m not arguing for the decisions management made this offseason, but if you look at the Rangers’ team now compared to before the return to play, they are better.

It's just Lafreniere. Everything else is the same or worse.

The Rangers lost games to get Lafreniere, so one could argue that they planned that and count it as a smart move by the organization.
