Seriously?

Give it up already. Buffalo had their chance.

They drafted Quinn instead. That's not our fault.

This is a team that has waited 20 years to draft a legitimate 1C. For whatever reason Buffalo decided to pass on both the second best center in the draft and the stud Perfetti for Quinn. That chance of fate single handedly delivered us what we've desperately wanted for the entire existence of our franchise. Did you honestly think we'd trade Rossi? At all? For that?

*points*

There's the pier. Now go take a long walk and don't forget to take a flying leap while your at it.

Maybe you can rework the deal. Drop Casey and add Eichel. I’d take that deal for Rossi.

You made great points but this spoiled your entire comment

IMO Buffalo will regret passing on Rossi.
IMO a center always has more value than wingers.
Everyone in Buffalo thinks Adams is a genius because Bill Guerin called him up to trade away Staal.
Well passing on Rossi, giving Girgenson and Eakin over $2,000,000 each, signing Irwin, Davidson and Fogarty sure is not a mark of a genius.

EDIT:
Better post than I have seen from life long Sabre CF AG

Reason staal got traded, he isn’t that concerned with winning a cup anymore. He’s just happy to play and play hard, but doesn’t have that drive to win. A lot of the players the wild were rocking were like that. More concerned with going home to their kids every night than winning a cup. Nothing wrong with that, but the goal should be to win the cup and be the best player you can be, not just being content as an nhler. Was the wrong example for the young kids.

I read a similar comment.
So Staal is not the sort of player who will go through a wall to win the cup.
Maybe it was not that great of a trade for Buffalo?
Regardless, Adams did not engineer the trade, Guerin was the prime mover.
That was the only point I was attempting to make.
I am very happy with Hall and Staal.
It is all of the other moves that he had complete control over that I question.

staal will play hard and do great in Buffalo no doubts. But in 2019 he could have gone to Boston to make a serious cup run along side coyle. He opted to not because it was more important to spend his time at home instead of winning a cup again. Nothing wrong with being a dedicated family man. But when they want you to be example of playing your ass off and winning and that’s clearly not what you care about anymore - culture change.

Thats literally not even in the same stratosphere.
Rossi is good. But trading a 1st 2nd mitts isn't even that far of a stretch. Dont get me wrong I wouldnt do it but its not crazy.
Adding eichel to get rossi is asinine lmao

Totally agree. Adding eichel was sarcasm. Just like I’m implying your trade proposed above is. Mittlestadt is a bottom 6C. I like the guy, but that proposed trade is awful.
