Philly does, you also can’t really trade a retired player.

Flyers have been waiting for a home grown stud Franchise goalie since Christ was a carpenter and now they're going to trade him? I don't think so.

Philly definitely says no 100%, but I can't see the leafs wanting this trade either. JVR is an anchor contract, Hart is due for a payday, Konecny is a damn good player on a cheapish deal for his talent, which is why they would never trade him lol

Thats a big fat no from the Flyers, Hart is not going anywhere. Capfriendly needs to remove Niskanen from Armchair-GM

Datsyuk still counted against the cap, pronger never filed his retirement paperwork.

Niskanen will have not effect on the cap. So why would he be traded?

Didn't Niskanen retire? If he did then he should count against the cap unless there was a recent rule change.

No he doesn’t still count. He retired and therefore terminated his contract. As soon as he fills out the paperwork he will no longer count against the cap.
