As long as in the contract is: "Mike shall replace RNH as the slot option on the oilers PP1 for the duration of the contract" it'd work lol cause that's like 10G alone

I would play Ennis with McDavid solely because of the speed.

I think Barrie was offered 6M and term elsewhere but he chose here because of the powerplay opportunity hoping to parlay into a bigger contract next season. The thought process is Hoffman does the exact same thing

Could easily get talked into riding sidecar to McDavid to boost numbers for a bigger deal when the cap goes up I mean Hall is doing exactly that with Eichel

It would make the team a lot better, no question. Maybe even good enough to win the division (if Jones plays well). I just seriously doubt Hoffman does this: 1) because it’s Edmonton and 2) because he’ll make loads more money elsewhere. I think a 1 year deal in Boston would be way better for him
