Why are we exposing Petterson? That’d be dumb. I’d expect Matheson gets exposed from the D

Agreed. I am assuming he thinks Marino needs to be protected. Marino is exempt from the expansion so the Pens will protect Letang, Dumoulin and Pettersson.

Nope, I protected Matheson in this scenario. Its either him or Pettersson getting protected whoever plays better this year.

Yikes then. There is no way they protect Matheson over MP. Not a chance in hell lol

Like I said, whoever does better this year gets protected. Not a hard concept lol they're similar players.

No, legit that’s a very bad take. There is no way in hell that Matheson gets protected over MP. Not a single chance. And MP, unless he gets injured, plays way better than MP. Matheson kinda sucks, MP doesn’t. I don’t know where you get that they are similar players lol

It’s almost like I said I would protect Pettersson if he has a better year lmao. Loosen up

In my point of view, even if Matheson has a good season, it is hard to see Seattle taking his contract. They will have much better options in terms of big contracts, so I cannot see them taking him regardless. That's just what I think though.

They are going to protect MP regardless if Matheson has the better year. They will guaranteed take MP if he is left unprotected because he would be our best asset by far left exposed. They wouldn’t take Matheson over a Blueger or McCann regardless of how well Matheson does in one year because they know his history.
