A bit rich for a single year contract, but he is an underrated player and adds a lot to the team. I could see CAR actually preferring the 1 year contract to see if he is consistent. I'm a bit shocked it isn't a tad lower. Arbitration does that i guess.

Near half-PPG last year with great PK metrics. Not a huge surprise that he got a couple of million this year as a prove-it sort of deal. Anyways, the Canes are probably done this offseason barring maybe a bargain signing here or there.

Steal for me. He’s a great 3rd line player who still has potential

Makes me think he’s a goner next offseason when they have to resign Dougie and Svech

fair deal. he is a teen goal scorer, he adds a lot of other stuff, but unless you are hitting that 20 goal mark you shouldn't be expecting a 3+ contract.
He can definitely grow into that role.

Deadline piece, along with others, for a goalie upgrade, perhaps?

I put no only because I feel like this AAV should be 2-3 years.

It’s possible, but it would have to be a rental goalie

Foegele + prospects is what I'm talking about.

Seems like too much money per season to me. He needs to show more in my opinion.
