I like studnika but Petterson is a legit top 4 D. He’d be the best LHD on Boston lmfao not sure why bruins fans are declining this. Studnika is a former 2nd round pick who hasn’t proven anything yet

Studnicka could be a 2C in the future. He's dominated the AHL last year and looked ready in the games he's played in the NHL. Pettersson is good but I will still take Grzelcyk over him, he's better all-around. Also, Studnicka is our only forward with top6 potential and we need a center when Bergeron/Krejci retire/regress thus making him even more valuable for us. If he's moved, it would have to be for a center with top6 potential.

not saying "Stud" isn't just that but alot of players have "dominated" the AHL. Daniel sprong and Dominic Simon dominated the AHL and sprong was a bust and Simon can't hit the NHL net. also BOS has maybe 1-2 more years b4 they drop out of contention so they should win now or rebuild.

Not the same case. Studnicka is great everywhere, he just needs to add some muscle. He'll be a 3C at worst but 2C is very likely. Pettersson isn't the guy that will guarantee us a Cup.

yeah they will be lucky if he's a 3C.
way too much hype around a 2nd round pick. The over value is insane.

Have you any idea how many of these so called, next Wayne Gretzky 2nd rounders flame out or turn into bounce around guys.
go look at where Donato is.

Odds he becomes a legit 2C is small.......very small.

this is a horrible trade for the penguins.
Pettersson holds much more value than this and Chara is done. he's a pylon.
This team moves Matheson.

that's really not the point. It's more the massive over value of a guy.
He's not gonna replace DK.
If that's your "plan" you're screwed.

the plan is for him to be a top 9 NHL center, they're not looking for a 2nd coming

Petterson is better than Gryz lol. He plays more minutes and puts up solid results in that role. Gryz is more sheltered.

Exactly lol. He’s certainly not a “lock”. He should be a 3C or even a 2C, but he’s definitely not a lock

True for the sheltered part, I still think he's better. He'll get top4 mins now and we'll see the result. He's better offensively imo.
