good signing but that's not really what EDM needed. Kahun can't play on a 2nd line

Sabres didn’t qualify him.

I'd like to see your reasoning behind that opinion because in Chi he had 39.4% time vs Elites and a GF% of 58.6%. In Pittsburgh he had 26% vs elites 54 GF% and 37% vs Middle competition with again 54 GF%. Looks a lot like he can play 2nd line minutes.

Scared of Arbitration contract that was too high for them to manage.

It's a good signing for EDM. I don't know. Watching Kahun you were always kind of waiting to see him hit his stride. He kind of did in BUF.
I think if BUF wanted to keep him they could have. But they clearly wanted Hall instead. Can't blame them.
He fits top 6 here for sure. Maybe he can finally break out.

Well he’s better than the other options they have to put in the top 6.

He was fantastic on his brief stint on BUF on the 2nd line. I think he's a 2nd liner who has been forced to play 3rd line. He should thrive here.

It’s not a lot of money, but there’s red flags here. Undrafted, but that’s fine if he’s a late bloomer, but he had a decent D+2 season, and international games, and wasn’t drafted as an overager when he was 20, small red flag.

Signed at age 22 in May of 2018, after he appeared in the Olympics, and seemed to do well. That’s good.

Since then he has been a Chicago Blackhawk, a Pittsburgh Penguin, a Buffalo Sabre, and now an Edmonton Oiler, huge red flag. That’s Galchenyuk movement there.

I’m going to say it’s a good signing, but somethings off with this guy,

Great signing. In any arbitration he would’ve at least got 1.5 and he’ll be able to play in the top 6 and rack up points

Anyone who plays with McDavid comes out of it looking good. Remember Ty Rattie?

I’ve heard he’s got attitude problems. Not from a source or anything, but I’ve heard several different people on the site say it

Oilers have had pretty great offseason. If only they'd addressed their goaltending.

Shouldn't be a problem in Edmonton. Him and Leon go way back.

That lasted about a week, lol. Now he's in the KHL. Jesse P is gonna have a breakout season.
