Pittsburgh likely declines as Marino is a key part of the future of their blueline. He is the only solkid top 4 RHD option they have behind Letang at the moment.

Minnesota is not trading Ek, so you would have to significantly overpay in order to get him. Kerfoot and a 2nd is nowhere near the price Wild would be asking.
