IMO yes - I think if sergachev takes 6 that Tampa would be happy

I expect he wants more but I think 6 is fair for him and should be his contract

I don’t think they can. They’d have 10 days or whatever to clear ~3M in cap, then have $0 for Cirelli/Cernak. They’ve proven so far this offseason that nobody wants their cap dumps. And they guys they could move can say no. Steve really painted this team into a corner

First, sergy will want more to go somewhere with income tax, second you’re over the cap so you can’t os

The question you should be asking is would sergachev sign an offer sheet to move from sunny championship tampa bay to freezing Winnipeg where he instantly becomes their best dman?

they can, but they'd have to move on from cirelli or point. which might not be a bad thing--those two players also have a ton of value and could bring back more than a 1st and a 3rd.

Trading those two guys would completely destroy there team. I mean your talking about a top 10 center easily and an HIGH end 2C. Trading Point is never going to happen and if it came down to it they will pick Cirelli over Serg

I'm sure if a contender in a nice city offered that he would consider and Tampa would have a hard time matching. Signing an OS for Winnipeg though would probably require more AAV.

Yes they can and they do! They do not have to clear any cap space, they can go 10% over the cap in the offseason, so they can currently match up to 11 million dollars in contracts. Also, THEY JUST WON THE CUP!!! Steve did not paint them into a corner, he built them into the best and most consistent team in arguable all of professional sports! And no, I am not a Lightning fan, these are just facts.
