Kovalev has to on there for me. Guy was just ridiculously entertaining to watch, so much skill.

Also like the inclusion of Nilan, but let's be real he would be a healthy scratch if anything. He just wouldn't be needed, especially since I'd have faith in Robinson and Weber being enough.

They are obviously amazing players but the post said only players I saw personally. Of the players you mentioned, I only saw Dryden play. I would place him as the 3rd best. I think Roy was the best and Price is better than Dryden. Put Price with the line up of the late 70’s and he would win cups as well.

Subban was electric but I place Robinson and Weber way ahead. An argument can be made that he’s better than Desjardins. Subban is more flashy and electric but Desjardins was more cerebral, calm and a touch more savvy.

You have a compelling argument with Kovalev. He was amazing. Nilan and corson are their for their hitting. A lot of people forget both were 20 goal scorers. Is Kovalev better than those two? Yes but I was going with strength and responsibilities on all four lines, but I did enjoy Kovalev.

My apologies I didn't see that.

Don't want to spoil the exercise, but I just watched clips from the 80s and 90s, and boy oh boy the top players from back then would get hammered by modern day players... Even Gretzky would look like a fringe 3rd liner in 2020.

The training, medicine, mental coaching, video, gym have all increased ten fold and thus the athlete of today is bigger, stronger and faster. Guy Lafleur was asked how many goals he would score in today's NHL in a season and he said 1 to 5. The reporter was surprised at his answer and Flower responded, well I'm almost 70 years old. LOL

Kidding aside, there is no question the athletes of today are better because of the reasons I previously mentioned. They were still players I enjoyed watching and this roster would be my all time Hab favorites. That is why I asked others to tell me who their fav's were/are. Just a fun exercise while waiting for the NHL to start back up.
