This isn't too bad value wise for Florida, but the amount of cap coming to us is unsettling.

Don’t think Boston takes it because they have no interest in anything but the first rounder, which isn’t that exciting. That said, 4 years takes him direct to UFA without buying out any UFA years. That’s a no go.

Might even need to give up more for Huberdeau. The guy is elite. This is close though.

in their first 5 seasons, from 18-24 (they didn't enter the NHL right away), Huberdeau had 68G, 130A, 198P. Nylander had 86G, 135A, 221P. That's also considering nylander went his first 18 games in 18-19 with 3 points (bc he was rusty).

I'll take Nylander and his 4 more prime years as opposed to Huberdeau. Huberdeau is prob better right now, but Willy is a wildcard, very dangerous trading a young guy like that

No point arguing. Huberdeau is better. I've seen both play. I don't care what magic numbers Obsessed Leaf fans pull out, Hubie is the much better player.

He's better, but he's not Sandin better in my opinion. Maybe just Kerfoot and a 2nd? Never heard of that guy that was traded for Kerf here anyways.

magic numbers like goals, point totals, faceoffs taken/won, possession stats and shots on net

again, Huberdeau is prob better right now, but he's also 3 years older. Nylander is a WAY better 23 year old (just turned 24 in the offseasn) than Huberdeau was, so I would rather see what Nylander turns into by the time he's 27

Your grandma would have those stats too if she played with Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Kapanen etc.

ah yes, the old "player x is overrated because he plays with player y" attack (also lol at Kapanen being in there)

Huberdeau got to play with Barkov and Hoffman lmao, not exactly slouches lol
