I could've actually seen Sutter + sweetener to NSH for a late pick (not a 4th) earlier in FA, but now that NSH signed Richardson I don't think they would be interested in him at all (not that they necessarily would've been, but maybe it could've happened). However, adding Rathbone and giving up a 4th isn't enough for a team to take on that contract.

Giving up a 1st and Hoglander to essentially get rid of 1 year of Loui isn't smart asset management. Baertschi and Loui can stay on the roster this year, getting rid of them, now, does little! (especially to sign Hoffman and Hamonic) That Hamonic contract doesn't improve their cap in 2021
Baertschi contract ends at end of year and Loui's cap hit in 2021-22 is the only worry

horrible trades from a Vancouver perspective in terms of hoglander and rathbone.

plus Hoffman will never sign in Vancouver and at $6m its an overpayment for a 45 point player on Vancouver's side.
