I like this trade a lot for both teams. Most people don’t realise that Armia is a really solid 3rd line player. I feel like sliding Tuch into our top 9 would be the final move for our offense to be able to compete. With this move Montreal would no longer have a scoring problem.

Bad trade for VGK. On any other team Tuch is a 2nd line player. Replace the 3rd with a better pick or prospect

Tuch is superior than Armia with a long term contract... against a UFA... it would cost way more like adding Poehling, Ylonen instead of the 3rd.
I would target Haula instead with a 2 years contract in case Danault go for the moon

Yes I agree Tuch is superior. The pick could be higher or a decent prospect involved but it helps Vegas with cap that’s the main reason here.
I don’t have any interest in Haula I’d rather keep Danault for the year and let him walk if we can’t resign him to a bargain. Peohling will be ready to take 3C by than and more importantly Suzuki and Kk will be ready for life without Danault shielding them.
Armia is just starting to hit his untapped potential. He’s not a player that Bergevin will throw away for nothing and I think he would be talking extensions around some point soon if we can’t work out with Tatar and Danault

Yeah rather just not trade at all. We’re not far off from our cap; this makes us worse. No thanks
