It could work but it depends how desperate the Isles are to move Boychuk

There are other ways but this way might be preferable.

It would have to be a yes from the Isles. I think they would also add a 2nd if the Sens took Leo also.

Idk how you don’t wring them for a 1st honestly, it cost a 2nd to move Staal and Boychuk costs slightly more for twice as long and the Isles are far more desperate (plus there are less teams with cap space remaining).

Can we switch Wilde to Bellows and we'll add another pick? With Pulock signing only a two-year deal, I'd like to keep Wilde unless we're buying a top-6 forward.

I guess it depends what other offers there are. And what they are willing to ship with it. It's true it cost a 2nd for Staal, but that's why Wilde is there. Maybe they should be squeezed for a 1st but I think a player like Wilde is more valuable to the Sens than the 1st. So it would be a win for both teams, Isles don't send a 1st, save some cap space to sign Barzal. Even though they trade Wilde, they are pretty set on RD with Dobson, Mayfield and Pulock. Sens could use a big 2way dman prosect on the right side seeing that they have non. And the fact he's 2 years removed from the draft fits with the development of the team.

Short answer? No lol. The point of not costing the Isles the 1st rounder they don't want to spend is getting a piece for the Sens they could really use. They can get what they want, if Lou gives the Sens something they want. Sens don't need another left winger. Sometimes, sacrifices must be made

Just an FYI, for those not familiar with Senator prospects, here are two right shot defence from recent drafts, and Bode Wilde, with draft position & year included

2019 1/19 Lassi Thomson RD
2018 1/26 Jacob Bernard-Docker RD
2018 2/41 Bode Wilde RD

Again, just for information
