Not even close to enough to move Boychuk. The difference between a late 2nd and an early 3rd is super minimal and Boychuk's deal is awful

It's going to cost a lot more to move Boychuk and that's assuming he waives

Ottawa would for sure got blocked by Boychuk NTC.

At the very least offer a 1st rounder and more for another team to take Boychuk.

It’s more likely he goes to Detroit or NJ, but I think he would choose Ottawa over playing in the AHL. He’s either getting traded or he’ll be put on waivers.

Boychuk doesn’t have a role on the islanders at this point. They have multiple nhl ready defenseman who are making 700k, so they would save money by burying boychuk.
