That's a bit on the expensive side for Buffalo. Doubt they bite

At first glance it seems that way but looking at it as Couture -- the perfect win-now top-6 center complement for Eichel -- for Cozins and the 1st to move out Okposo's 6mil cap hit for 3 more seasons at a time when bad contracts are so difficult to move because of the flat cap and financial difficulties teams will be going through the next couple of years, especially teams like BUF, makes it fair imo.

2 years of Okposo at 6M vs 6 years of Couture at 8M is not worth Cozens and a 1st. Downgrade Cozens and its probably fair-ish

*3 years of Okposo, not 2. It's a huge difference like I said for the reasons listed. The deal's fair value if BUF is serious about going into win-now mode (and they'd have an amazing roster with Couture replacing Okposo for just 2mil extra).

They already picked up their 2C for this year in Staal, who is a very reliable option. I was basing this off 1 year from now

Can't see jackets or sabres being too interested in those deals

Flyers don't have the cap space or desire to take on that contract

All these teams reject these trades, sharks fans are the most biased fans in all of sports, coutures contract is worse than okposos and cozens is a top prospect so buffalo decline, flyers have no need for burns and no cap space so they decline, islanders might appear if they get desperate but it doesn’t seem like anyone’s going to offer sheet barzal so islanders decline and Johnson is still a good player so it wouldn’t cost a first to get rid of him.

      The difference between Nyquist & Kane is not a 1st & 2nd.
No deal, CBJ is very happy with Nyquist and decline the offer.
