I would rather Nylander play on the 3rd line, and have Janmark/Kampf/Shaw replace Pirri on the 4th.

I hate to say this, but what the hell is the plan with strome? Strome will never perform without cat or Kane to play with, but everyone is dying for Dach to be 2C. With the team set up this way, strome probably won’t even hit 35 points in a full season, if that.

It's a fair question. Ideally he's a 2nd Center, but Dach should be there now and the future 1C as of right now (assuming there is some sort of plan, that plan makes sense, and it pans out of course). Not even arb eligible this season, in the right spot his contract should have some surplus value to a team so there should be a taker.

My weird thought on it is what if Toews line starts games, but is more like a 3rd line with some extra offense (Kubalik-Toews-Shaw or Highmore?) while perhaps being used a little less than a normal "top" line, and the Strome line (Janmark/Suter-Strome-Nylander?) is really the 2nd scoring line and gets a few more shifts than a 3rd line might normally? To be honest I already forget what they were doing last season so maybe they tried something similar and it didn't work.
