The Calgary trade is bad for LA, I'd rather just keep Amadio as a healthy scratch if only a 6th is coming back (the Kings want as many picks in the top 4 rounds and few after that with them nearing the max contract number), and I think they would accept the Carter trade but Philly wouldn't offer it in this cap climate.

Also, Vatanen plays exclusively right side (it's a mistake here on capfriendly) and Hoffman will get at least $5.25 for one year.

Maybe sending Carter to Vegas for MAF (1M retain).. imagine the duo with Flower & Quick for the next 2 years...
Hoffy would sign @ 6M a year a short 2 years deal...
Built a package for Dunn instead...

PHI says no unless you give us a 3rd and a 4th. In a league where Ghost and JVR have no value, the continuing downward play and production of the much older Carter, has less value.

Kings have no need for a goaltender. They have Quick and Petersen, which will be a quality tandem. Petersen will take over the starting job from Quick in 2021-22.

The only move the Kings might be looking to make is to sign a middle six winger. They were supposedly in on Hinostroza before he signed in Florida, then kicked the tires on Kahun until he signed in Edmonton. I could see them taking a look at Athanasiou on a relatively cheap one-year deal.

Aside from that, the Kings aren't going to make any big moves this off-season.
