Necas is exempt from getting picked, but Teräväinen and Pesce are absolutely getting protected.

Dunno about that. They wasted a first rounder on a long-term asset. I don't see them letting him go this soon.

If their desire is to keep Fleury as well, I think they'll offer a compensation for them to not take him and pick Bean instead.

Ideally CAR should make a bargain where they "dump" both Gardiner and Niederreiter to Seattle in order to gain the money to re-sign Hamilton and Svechnikov. Kinda like what FLA did with Marchessault. They added Smith as the compensation for taking Marchessault over someone else.
