Tampa already dumped Ingram to Preds for a 7th rounder. Absolutely zero chance they'll waste Cernak to get the guy back.

What was the issue with Ingram in TBL's system anyway? I never heard anything definitive. Just rumours that he wasn't liked in the locker room. He's been great for Milwaukee, no problems or drama.

Both teams decline the trade. The value is good for NSH, but Cernak gives them five defensemen to protect in expansion, and TBL obviously wouldn't want Ingram back. I wouldn't mind Coleman in NSH if TBL was selling him cheap though.

He was sent down to Orlando (ECHL) for an "internal matter", but yeah word on the street is he was a problem in the locker room.

Tampa's loss is Nashville's gain. I just hope the Preds don't lose him to Seattle.

As a Nashville fan, I almost feel obliged to take that deal. If we could trade Ellis for a forward upgrade of equal cap, then the defense gets younger and the forward group gets much better. It complicates expansion some but i think the upgrade to the team is worth it. Could also grade Ekholm and completely reimagine the team.

That said... that's a pretty bad deal for Tampa. They traded Ingram for basically nothing b/c of internal issues with him. From what i can tell... Ingram seems to of wanted more starts then he was being given. Seems like immaturity and they ditched him instead of working through it. Bad show from both ends. Either way I doubt they want him back. Carrier is a fine d prospect and I don't understand why Nashville basically sealed off his chances of making it to the NHL this season with BoroCop and Benning. Coleman is a good cheap piece with 20G in the last 2 seasons. I doubt Tampa even trades him. 1.8M caphit that would only save 900K or so after he's replaced internally... not really alot of incentive there to trade him.
