Not worth it. I like Mccan but hes got less term and Blueger is a huge downgrade on Mikheyev who's on a great contract. Without mikheyev theyve got no depth

McCann and Kerfoot are pretty on par, imo. The slightly cheaper deal and RFA expiry of McCann is nice, but not worth downgrading from Mikheyev (I believe trading him would create a problem in it's own sense, but that's a whole other thing), who's on a sweetheart deal and likely to play in the top 6, to Blueger a bottom of the lineup guy which we already have an abundance of.

I'd say McCann and Mikheyev go near hand on hand in terms of value, since McCann's two years younger and scores pretty much at the same rate. Also there's not much cost difference.

Blueger+3rd for Kerfoot+6th should be ideal for the Leafs in terms of cap space. This way they don't have to dump Kerfoot for nothing, if they have problems to fit under the cap minimum.

The Leafs don't have a cap issue right now; they can enter the season with ease without making anymore changes. They would have no reason to dump Kerfoot for nothing, so I'm not seeing why trading him for Blueger would be ideal.

Edit: Would also just like to add, I didn't see the pick swap in there. I still wouldn't make the deal, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

PIT declines this. The Pens need Blueger more then they need Mikheyev

If they plan to keep the team as it is, then there's no real need to move Kerfoot. Figured that since Kerfoot's probably the most moved player on this site TOR might do something with the guy.

Those PIT fans I talked with disagree with this notion. This deal would be beneficial for them.

Correct, there really isn't a need for it. If they can improve the roster, I think they'd be willing, of course, but I just don't think this deal makes sense for them.
