Short 2m Stammer ltir

Created by: Fox_Czar_Cup
Team: 2020-21 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 7, 2020
Published: Nov. 7, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Which would be the wise move for him to fully recover and for the team. He tried playing after 7 months and lasted 2 minutes, now he just had the same core muscle tear procedure on his other side lol. Some guys make it back after 8 weeks, yet most have lingering effects and are affected a lot longer than that. January seems like a rushed pipe dream, no?
Recuperate for half season and the cap works

Wings pass, it's not about the value, it's about the direction of the team and this isn't it

With McIsaac out for the season and another year added to his development I don't see Detroit trading Cholowski.

Highly doubt you get either one of Cirelli or Serg to sign for less than $4, let alone both!

I think Stevie Y would totally agree to this. Killorn is a solid leader, same with Paquette who can be resigned on the cheap and a 3rd for 2 dwindling boderline kids that aren't really in the future plans

Nah, we aren't taking long term Contracts for 30 year olds unless it has major sweetners in it. doesn't make sense for our timeline and we aren't helping tampa out of cap trouble. This move makes sense for a playoff team not wings.

Paquette doesn't have a lot of value to Detroit since he's a UFA at the end of the season. Killorn is a 31yr old winger coming off his best season and since he just submitted his no trade list I think it's safe to say Detroit is probably the first team on that list. Giving up futures for Killorn doesn't make a lot of sense either. Maybe the Wing's make the playoffs the final season of his contract but he will be 34 at that point and who knows if he will have any hockey left in him. I really like Killorn but it doesn't make sense and there are other teams that would like to have Killorn and be able to give up far more than Detroit to get him.

Yes Paquette can be resigned but can you guarantee he will? If you can't it just to much risk for a team that is rebuilding.

Not giving much up really, but I get it. What about Killorn, Paquette and Foote for Cholowski, Lindstrom and G Smith ish?

My first post in this thread made no sense I have corrected it and this is what I was trying to say: With McIsaac out for the season and another year added to his development I don't see Detroit trading Cholowski. With Detroit already has Hronek, Seider and now Stecher on the right side. I have no doubt that Foote will be better than Stecher but will he be happy as a 3rd pair dman? Stecher only has a 2yr deal and we won't see Seider till the end of the season or maybe next season. That's where Lindstrom comes in his first call up he played with more poise than most of our vets. I think he should be on the opening night roster but I don't know. Lindstrom is a big defensive defenseman with little offensive up side and he is a player that would be fine as a 3rd pair dman. I have no idea why Detroit resigned Erne when the they have Smith and he played a lot better than Erne did last season. Paquette doesn't have a lot of value to Detroit since he's a UFA at the end of the season. Killorn is a 31yr old winger coming off his best season and since he just submitted his no trade list I think it's safe to say Detroit is probably the first team on that list. Detroit passes, Tampa wont get more then a 3rd round pick for Alex Killorn, Paquette has little to no value. Giving up Cholowski, Hirose and a 3rd and 4th round pick is way too much. Yzerman isn't helping his former team out that much.

Noway would Yzerman agree to this, Killorn at best is worth a 3rd round pick, Paquette has little to no value. Detroit isn't trading futures Yzerman made it abundantly clear that he's not trading picks he's looking at acquiring more. If we trade Cholowski i think it will be for a bigger fish along with other pieces if Yzerman feels like he's not part of the core long term. Tampa actually gets the best pieces here. Neither Killorn or Paquette help us in the near term. I even doubt Detroit's on Killorn's 14 team trade list anyways.

Fair enough, yet I'm sure SY loves Killorn like many others GMs. He's a consistent meat n potatoes. Because of flat cap, his value probably goes from a 2nd & 4th to simply a 2nd, he has value.
