Lauzon is a LHD that can play RD if needed.

Blues are seriously not interested in doing that, that is really undervaluing Dunn.

Sorry, not even slightly tempting. A bunch of meh futures is not going to get much out of the Blues right now.

Not enough to get Dunn, and puts B’s in the same position next year when they lose Grzelcyk in expansion

This is an argument that I’ve heard a lot recently. Yes, getting another Dman with term means one will have to get exposed. But does the possibility of losing Gryz in the draft mean that they have to punt on boosting the blueline? This might be their last best shot at a cup for a while and if getting a top 4 LD wins a cup and means losing a quality player to expansion, then I’m fine with that

I hear ya, i understand the closing window argument. Its just a philosophy i dont really stand behind, but understand why people do. My thought process would be if you gave up a 1st and a 3rd for Dunn lets say (That would be around what you would give up in compensation for his contract... I think he gets more than 3.75). Then gave up some value to unload John Moore to get under the cap and are left with the current roster... is it enough to beat VGK, COL, etc. And if it isnt, what pieces do you have left to trade to improve upon the roster? Not many. I just think they need young guys to take the next step and surprise them. But i do understand your side of it as well. It very well could be enough to win, it just matters how good you think your odds are.
