Hindsight is always 2020 right. I thought this might be a fun game mode on chell. You could go back to a certain year and start the franchise mode from that year on and knowing how players are going to turn out draft based on that.

No you shouldn’t because it hurts to see who you didn’t draft looool compared to who you did

That was Boeser. This was purely based on points. Rantanen has the 4th most points in that draft and Boeser has 10th.

Wouldn’t that be a downgrade tho?

I agree. This is just because I have nothing better to do and I thought it'd be fun to see hindsight who the Avs would have drafted, and looking at this now, I think they would have been good, but not as good as they are now.

Sakic has been an amazing GM I don’t think the Avs have much regrets at all; a lot less than almost all 30 other teams. assuming he’ll be a nom/ winner of the GM award.

Yes, but this is based on not moving the picks at all and is based on points. Also I got a stat wrong: Rantanen was 5th in that draft class. Avs picked 10th in that draft. Rantanen has the 4th most points in that draft (only behind McDavid, Eichel Marner, and Aho), while Boeser is 10th in points. I do agree he is a downgrade, but (1) only slightly, and (2) remember who the Avs truly drafted.

I'm surprised he wasn't even nominated for GM of the year since the Duchene trade.
