I minored in english literature, and I have no words for how horrible that arizona trade is. I’m not sure one exists.

Arizona declines. Muzzin may be better than Chychrun now but Chychrun is still really good and on a fantastic contract. So right there it's Chychrun > Muzzin and then Keller's value outweighs the rest of the package.

NJ just says no. Blackwood was better than Freddie in the regular season and he's an actual long term option in net. Or at least, not a risk in that regard. Dermott doesn't move the needle and Engvall? Really? A 1st is always nice but I think they stay put.

Larsson, while only having a year left is still better than downgrading to Holl and adding another backup. Plus, you want EDM to retain? Lol

As a Minnesota fan I wish TML ACGMs weren't allowed to trade for JEE or trade Kerfoot to Minnesota. It's almost always bad and this is about as bad as it gets. They had similar production last season, Joel is bigger, a better skater, younger, has way more upside, is cheaper and is better defensively. I get that it's a minor distinction to other fanbases but from a Wild fan's pov, it's irritating every time we click on a Toronto ACGM with a Minnesota trade. So in conclusion, I fail to see any reason why Minnesota should ever consider this trade or any like it.

Wow, easily Leafs decline that Edmonton deal. Holl is at least as good as Larsson and is on a nice 2m x 3 deal. Again you're obsessing with other teams middling RHD, thinking they are saviours. I don't know why so many folks think Holl is expendable by the Leafs. Look at his play (Leafs third best Dman last season) and his stats.
There are lots of goalies available next summer, and the Leafs don't have to give up much to get one, or even get one as UFA. Though I don't think Jersey does think either, if Blackwood is "their guy" for the future..
Muzzin has a NMC...doubt if he wants to be traded to the struggling Coyotes. Hyman is a UFA, so Arizona has really no use for him. Chychrum is on a great team contract, and long term probably the best player in the deal. Keller...not sure he is going live up to his contract.

I cannot imagine Arizona, which is essentially a rebuilding team, trading two 22-year-olds for a 28-year-old and a guy who turns 32 at the beginning of the 2021 season, even if they get a first out of it. Plus, Chychrun and Keller are signed long-term and Hyman wouldn't bother to unpack his luggage once he got to Phoenix.
