Vilardi has a higher ceiling, could be argued as the better player right now despite missing a year and a half of hockey, is two years younger, and is still on his ELC for the next two years. Not to mention the amount of time and money invested in getting Gabe back on the ice from the LA organization.

That's going to be a no.

LA fans love vilardi and I dont see them trading him, he is such a liked player in LA and that isn't enough value.
