Team Canada - 3rd Line Steals The Show

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Young guns 3rd line steals the spotlight on the team.
Halifax + Scotia boys line is easily Canada’s top line (seniority and it just says “I’m the top line”)
A wild second line where Mcdavid has an unreal puck retriever (take away machine) and defender in stone who can some great make plays and opportunities + Huberdeau who has established himself as an elite winger.
The fourth line isn’t the fourth line cause they’re the “worst guys”. Would be a lethal trio.

Chose Chabot to play with Pietro for no reason
Rielly gets an amazing defensive partner
Theodore and Makar would eat 20+ minutes easily if needed

Hart and Price seems inevitable as I just see hart talking about
Spending time with price being invaluable later in his career

Yes as Team Canada has a history for focusing on a defensively reliable team. While Hamilton provides more offence or guys like Vince Dunn could sprout a lot in the coming season - Parayko was a conn smythe nom and he definitely is a top defender (focus on defence). Like Vlasic when he was good, many people laughed as things like “why is subban benched and Vlasic playing, etc” became comments and there was questions at the constant love for Vlasic yet it proved useful for the team and there was little question after golds for their choices

Team Canada has a tendency to stick with the old guard too, I'd be surprised Weber and Doughty don't get a start or a sniff for this team as you'd be running 5 D and 2 benched who have no experience at the OG.

Hamilton would get the nod IMO, he's so underrated defensively.

Didn’t say he was bad defensively cause he’s good. I just see Parayko more in the “image” - doesn’t mean he’s better

Doughty will not see team Canada, if he does the selected management are quite literally mentally insane. Weber is still useful so I wouldn’t be shocked. But you gotta remember we haven’t see the olympics in so long, after it’s been over 6 years you’re gonna have to expect change in the players and they wouldn’t just pick reigning players from the last games because they were there last time and I doubt “sticking to the old guard” is the ideology after 6-10 years (whenever we see the NHL back in national teams)

I don’t think PLD is gonna sniff this team honestly, Stamkos, Bergeron, Scheifele, and Marner are all more likely to earn a spot imo

oh, definitely, but the likelihood is they want some of the old guard to be there, to stabilize in case the young guys isht the bed, and that is quite the roster of young guys.

I see Price getting the start, and Hart winning the reigns if he stumbles, Canada has always ran the veterans over the young prospects.

I also think Bergeron definitely slots in over PLD,
