I believe the jets need a RD as to why I chose Bouchard. They have Samberg who’s a LD and and I think Heinola is a LD plus Morissey who’s already locked down one of three ld spots

Never said he was a jets fans. And personally I found that astonishing. You’re getting a top prospect on the defensive side across the league - he’s not just a oilers top chip but a good chip league wide that most teams would have highly rated. You’re getting a 2C with the deal hinging on an extension already being discussed (from @csick post) and a first. That’s more than mark stone received (a 2nd plus brannstrom)

Oilers would be stupid to do that trade. Laine is a one dimensional player and will demand way more then he’s worth. Would rather keep RNH, Bouchard and the first and let someone else overpay

I don’t get it cuz they want quality pieces and this is exactly everything they need. There’s no way they get more than this, come on now, Jets fans need to be realistic. AND I LOVE LAINE, he’s one of my favourite players.

In the real world EDM wouldn’t offer this as I think they love Bouchard anyways. But it would be very fun to see that first line go on a tear

This is literally more than mark stone got with an extension (of a FAIR AAV). Mark stone is a top 5 winger in the league IMO or atleast top 8. The guy is lethal - he’s so good and not just offensively talented a clutch player but also a guy who makes you look like a fool cause he defends so well. No team offers this anyways but it would be ludicrous to ask for more

Kahun - Leon - Kailer looks like a top line if it didn’t already

We dont need a 2C, he is now a winger, and that is not what we want in a return for Laine....Laine also wont be traded until next off season

He’s still taking 200 or more faceoffs.. that’s not really a winger (you’d like to see 300ish but he’s clearly still in the dot)

You want a top 4 d and a useable forward/ center. Filling holes. And if you could run MS - RNH - PS that would be a great center depth so I don’t see how that’s not beneficial

You get Bouchard who’s not like a complete gamble. He’s a safe bet. Doesn’t mean he’s a sure shot but he’s damn close. You’re getting both needs (slightly altered as Bouchard is not a guy who’s played 2 seasons +) so I tossed in a first. If that’s not fair than I guess I’ll offer Crosby and Marino and hopefully that’s good for you, my bad

The thought is he extends - it was oringally @csick post that I modified and continued the process but on his he wrote in the extension. I have no idea what RNH will extend for so I just left it

Fair, it would probably have to be a sign and trade, and that’s not common at all in the NHL

I'm not into this trade at all - its WAY too rich for my blood. Nuge provides 90% of the offence, more defense and has the ability to play center. He's loved by all and he wants to stay. Then you add Bouchard and a 1st? You do know that Holland's goal is to make the team better, right?

But I came here to say this: you missed an opportunity to re-unite Puljujarvi and Laine!

We have to see what JP Does first. He wont ever be as good of a scorer as Laine but he is defensively responsible and had offensive chemistry with Mcdavid in the 900 minutes they played together.

I see them trading Darnell nurse before bouchard or broberg. I'd also say broberg is less off limits than bouchard.
