Zero chance MTL moves Petry before he plays a minute on his new contract. Andersen isn’t worth nearly that much.

A little bit of an overpay for Petry and Keumper and a bit too much for to ask for Freddy. That's just my opinion though.

So, assuming a Freddie extension of 4 x $5-6 mil (Let's say $5.5 for the purposes of this):

Bobrovsky current cap hit: $10 mil/6 years.
Bobrovsky buyout cap hit (2021 since the buyout window has passed): $5.8, $5.8, $6.8, $6.8, $6.8, Followed by $1.8 x 5 years.
Bobvrovsky-less Panthers: $11.3, $11.3, $12.3, $12.3, $6.8, $1.8 x 5 years.

So essentially, since the buyout window has passed, the Panthers are giving a 1st+2nd+4th for Freddie's rights (A goalie who is basically even with Bob skill-wise at this point), and are paying $1.3-2.3 mil a year more than they would have if they had just kept Bobrovsky...That doesn't seem smart.
