who tf is our goalie for the repeat

Description
They're not resigning freddy. If he has a good year, he'll ask for a lot and we can't afford to pay that to a declining goalie, if he sucks then why would we resign him. Binnington is the best goalie in the ufa market, and he's resigning with st louis, so who's it gonna be?

Columbus gets a payment worthy of a elite top tier goalie. Elvis has what 50 games under his belt - not the correct trade for the leafs to make at all.

See the UFA’s market and a lot can change by the next TDL - we can’t really expect much rn

That’s likely CBJ’s asking price. No rush to move him at all.

Exactly why it’s in the leafs best interest to not go near it. Leafs wanna win now, Elvis is too much of a risk for a team trying to win now and lose valuable assets like TL

That's the package you should be offering Arizona for Darcy Kuemper, instead of the nonsense Andersen-and-a-second fantasies. Then you would know who your goalie is for this year AND next year.

Kuemper isnt worth that, not even close. the dude is 30 years old and has one season with more than 31 games

    I'd trade that for Kuemper.

Haha, well, thanks. I don't really like to be known as a "leafs homer".

Despite my loss of concentration yesterday in referring to a second-round pick IN MY OWN CONSTRUCTION as a "top-ten selection," I still think a good strategy for Toronto is to trade a legitimate package for Kuemper and then send Andersen off somewhere else for a low-cap return.

Haha I remember that. I agree that's a good idea for the leafs, but it's likely they run a Andersen-Campbell 1a-1b system next year.

Why write off Jack Campbell before even giving him a shot? He was very good in the six games he played for the Leafs earlier this year.
