Ok, but i feel you should at least be able to site reason. Basically you and the thread originator are telling people they're wrong about thier view. I think it falls on you to give supporting evidence. Like skating, telegraphed shot release, falls out a rhythm 25 games in. Tell me why UPL wont be a top 5 nhl goalie if before even starting in the ahl you think he'll be an nhl goalie? I ask because im curious on your take and want to know more about where it comes from. Why express an opinion on here if you cant justify and discuss it further, the potential for prospects is a hot topic, some people may have bought a bouchard jersey when he was drafted or pray every day sandin gonna get them to round two. I guess if your only defense is its my opinion i just should read your posts. Especially when your discerning the difference between good nhl prospects and great nhl prospects before they've even played.

robertson is 7th all time in goals per game for a whole season in the OHL

patty kane is 18th, tavares is 17th, debrincat is 27th

if he was born 5 days later he'd've been eligible for the 2020 draft

Jack Quinn (b. september 19th, 2001) had 12g 20a 32p in 61 games.
Nick Robertson (b. september 11th 2001) had 27g 28a 55p in 54 games * selected 53rd overall because he was eligible for the draft by 4 days (sept 15 2001 was the cutoff for being too young)

2019-2020
Jack Quinn (b. september 19th, 2001) had 52g 37a 89p in 62 games. * Selected 8th overall
Nick Robertson (b. september 11th 2001) had 55g 31a 86p in 46 games.

now, call me crazy, but I think robertson might have gone in the top 10 this year, had he been born 5 days later

so uh, no - just because he's leaf prospect or bc he went in the second round doesn't mean he's overrated or that he's not a legit big deal, he's a future star

while we're on the topic of prospects, roni hirvonen selected 59th overall by the leafs (18yr old) is currently playing further up in the lineup than Kotkaniemi (who went 3OA) for Assat, in the finnish Liiga

Kotkaniemi has 1 assist in 5gp and Hirvonen has 3 goals 2 assists in 13gp

I could be wrong and I’m no expert but IMO:

UPL- he was awful in the AHL this year. It’s still likely he can be a solid starter in the NHL, but theres a lot of goalie prospects who don’t get as much hype but are better (Dostal, Annuenen, Ingram)

Guhle- not a very smart player

Robertson- I project a 2nd line winger in him, but I think a lot of people think he’ll b a line 1 winger

I’m not telling anyone they’re wrong, I’m just voicing my opinion which differs from other people. No one knows what they’ll become. The only thing telling people they’re wrong about prospects is time

I don’t think any of the forward prospects are overrated

The D prospects are all overrated, especially Bouchard and sandin. Bouchard will be an elite puck mover, he’ll put up points at even strength and on the PP but his skating and defensive game isn’t good enough to be a tough minutes D. I see him as a really good #3.

Sandin is great and the leafs were lucky to get him late in the 1st round, but he’s not a franchise D. He’ll be a #2 at best.

Yah it’s annoying.. it’s not overrated at all. I doubt people know the definition of overrated anymore.
