SO it is 3 1st round picks and a 2nd for a 31 year old forward on a 3 year contract at 10.5 million.

I know he is a top talent but that is alot, and if it fails then Buffalo is in another rebuild.

Sorry I meant Ottawa. Seeing alot of Kane to Buffalo along with several articles saying so much. I guess I understand he would go to Buffalo as he is from there, but I doubt he accepts a trade to Ottawa and the cheapest owner in the league.

I say the Sens do it.

Melnyk see's the signing bonus money he needs to pay upfront each season, $4MM each season, goes into cardiac arrest. Some poor guy in Raleigh NC donates his heart in a tearful goodbye gesture to his Hurricanes, Melnyk promptly sells the Senators and purchases the Hurricanes.

A classic lose-lose-lose-lose-win situation
