Why on earth would Nashville do that? Why are we trading our best forward who is younger and would be part of a rebuild even if we decided to go that path. In my opinion Forsberg would be one of the last player Nashville would trade if not the last

I just feel like Nashville's one of those clubs that may need a rebuild soon. Forsberg will be a UFA in 2022, and it's not guaranteed that the cap will no longer be flat after 2021-2022. Bokk and a 1st is no joke of a return if the Preds decide to re-build.

Should Nashville decide to rebuild this is a decent offer as long as Niederreiter rebounds. Gives us someone to fill the gap, a good prospect, and a first. I think we might be able to get a better prospect but that’s a fairly solid base.

Truth is our cupboards are quite bare because we’ve never been allowed to not be “competitive”. I would be fine with a season or two going after those high first round picks and aim for a generational talent. Nashville could really use a matthews, mcdavid, or eichel level player
