It’s clearly Wayne Gretzky.

The GOAT currently is obviously Wayne Gretzky for skaters and one of Roy or Brodeur for goalies. If we are looking for current players the GOAT is Crosby for skaters though soon it will be Mcdavid and for goalies I’d say Price

I know it's crazy to say, but at the moment is Crosby the GOAT? Will he be remembered more than Ovechkin? What major records is Crosby close to breaking? If Ovechkin breaks the goal scoring record, I'd say Ovechkin will go down as a more memorable player than Crosby.

Gretzky is the unanimous GOAT, as for the best ever hockey player skill wise? McDavid takes the cake.

I think that answer completely depends on if Ovie breaks the goals record, if he does I say he's ahead of Crosby. All time, Gretzky, though if Orr or Lemieux played their careers injury-free they might've passed him. McDavid is the future GOAT.

I don't think this is a hot take, but most people will: I think Bobby Orr is the all time GOAT

I can’t take that seriously since you’re a Pens fan and imo Gretzky is obviously the goat

Wow never thought I’d see Richard on this, honestly I feel like Henri Richard would maybe be the better Richard but it’s nice to see them get recognition

Maurice had more determination and perseverance, also he was more tough and a better goal scorer

The league was always going after Maurice, because he was French Canadian. Even at some points not counting all of his assists and giving extras to Howe, also giving him penalties for no reason at all.

Let's put it this way. There is only one player to pass the 2000 point mark. That is Gretzky. He got 2857.

I like Gordie Howe too, he is probably second, Maurice Richard 3rd.
Then Bobby Orr and Mario Lemieux.
But Gretzky is first 100%

Woah woah woah why is Bobby Orr's name not on there?

Other two are good though (well I might say Roy or Brodeur but Hasek is a good choice too. No real clear cut goalie GOAT. Also Gretzky is the GOAT for sure but Richard is top 3).

LIdstrom was better two ways and with leadership, Coffey is Orr but a little bit worst on offense but better on defense. Between the three it's really hard, but I could see an argument that could change my mind.

The two other opinions are locked and will not be changed.

I somewhat agree with the other 2.

But Orr had nearly 1.4 points per game through out his career.
Coffee had less than 1.1

Orr is also the only defensemen (at least since probably 1930) to win the Art Ross.

And of course, Orr's iconic photo of him doing a superman dive wink (kidding, but that's an awesome picture)

Technically for D you could add Doug Harvey, he was really the first OFD and won like 6 straight Norris trophies,
