Too much salary to Vancouver IMO. Need room for the ELC bonuses. Maybe replace Nino with another piece, I don’t think he has that much value anyway.

For Carolina, it's sort of a salary dump but taking on Sutter is a hefty sum cause his contract is +4m while Virtanen is going to be asking for a lot more after his contract is up. This isn't good for Vancouver. Maybe send Eriksson as he hasn't worked out thus far and still send Sutter to balance the scales when trading for large contracts like Niederriter and Dzingel. Trading two picks along with Virtanen isn't great cause in comparison, Virtanen is more valuable in the trade market than Dzingel and Niederriter combined. Maybe replacing one of the guys from the Canes for a bottom-six forward like McGinn and add a pick (2nd or 3rd) and call it a day.

I think the value is pretty fair but I’m not sure it makes sense from a canes perspective. Nino and dzingle both didn’t have great years but i think the canes are expecting at least one of them to have a bounce back on the second line. Sutter is only in the deal to balance cap, but the canes can’t really afford to have more cap caught up in buyouts. Fleury for virtainen is pretty fair value imo

I’d say it’s a number 4 defenseman on a very cheap contract for a 2ndish line winger. I think it’s pretty fair personally. The improvement and development in fleury’s game last season was pretty drastic

jake has also improved each year in the nhl.Hes been in the nhl 5 years and is ready to break out.no disrespect to fleury but the canucks have put alot of time and effort into jake and its about to pay off.again this is just my opinion but jakes up side is just to good to give up on now.

I would say the exact same thing about fleury. I think it’s an interesting idea for both teams
