Jets will only trade Laine if they get a solid D in return.

No chance of Ken Holland trading either Ryan Nugent-Hopkins or Evan Bouchard. Holland is trying to resign Nugent-Hopkins he's going absolutely nowhere.

A fair argument could be made that nuge is the most important oiler. Not saying the best but most important. Plays top unit on both special teams is top line lw fully capable of playing top six centre. That’s just on the ice not much gets made of it but worth mentioning his community involvement which is outstanding to say the least.

Sorry, but IMO Nuge is a better player than Laine. Nuge plays Center/PK/PP and good in all zones. If 1 of the 2 big guns go down, Nuge slides in no problem.

As a rental RNH doesn't carry the value to be a starting piece and doesn't fill a need for Winnipeg.

You're right Nuge would a rental if we were to get traded before an extension but if there was an extension in curious how you would value him ? I know Winnipeg has enough centers now but he would easily replace Stastny, could fill on LW, plays PP PK and has a very solid two-way game.

With a reasonable cost and term extension I like RNH, but after drafting Perfetti he isn't as much of a need for the Jets. I definitely don't think the Jets would move Laine for him.

So, there likely isn't a deal to be made as what Winnipeg has available likely isn't what Edmonton needs.

You're out of your mind, Edmonton says an affirmative no. Hopkins is head and shoulders above Laine, Bouchard is our future and Larsson will be useful for now.
